My portrait of both Elvis and The Colonel; the last sentence of an essay I wrote to go along with this illustration: "...the Colonel killed that sweet, beautiful boy prophet so that he might live instead as a God for the masses, but a kitsch God with the greatest of human pedigrees, raking in the shekels the amounts of which outnumber the stars in the heavens."
