The chapter deals with the untold story of an imaginary "256th Company of Engineers" representative of the segregated builders of USAAF airdromes. The dead MP had imposed 'Jim Crow' restrictions on a dance band. His killers are burying his body under an incomplete runway to escape inevitable hanging.
