Profile
Sometimes it is good to think about what one actually does. I like that everything already exists. It just needs to be seen, researched and understood. Colors are reflexions of light. Where there is light there are shadows. This allows us to see and to identify the world. Sounds heavenly yet it is devilishly complex! This is how my job is. The latin term illustrare means "to enlighten, to explain, to praise". Who makes something seen makes it comprehensible. Even the invisible. A helpful profession I would say. There are three other helpful professions. Psychiatrists, Philosophers and Astrophysicist. But I am cheaper. So far. --- I studied graphic design in the early 1980's and initially worked as a freelance artist for Swiss advertising companies, newspapers, and magazines first. My work took me to Paris, to Italy, and to Germany, where I worked for companies such as Daimler-Chrysler, and then to New York for a few years. Meanwhile, my client list includes clients from Europe, Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. I life with my family near Basel in Switzerland.
