Jamie Stroud graduated from School of Visual Art in New York City with a BFA degree studying under Will Eisner and Harvey Kurtsman. At Fashion Institute of Technology, also in NYC, he earned his MA in Illustration. A freelancer since 1998, Stroud mostly does editorial and children book illustrations. Before that he was a Design Director for trade magazines. He has taught Life Drawing, Photoshop, Color Theory, Comics and Digital Illustration in both New York and Colorado. He often writes as well as illustrates his own stories. Stroud's primary choice of medium is brush and ink with digital color but also uses pencils and oils.
