Crisalide is composed by a serie of 350 drawings. Its metamorphic rhythm follows the lines that shape an eye, a butterfly, a human face and the sky. From Chrysalis to butterfly. The music is the journey that brings the drawing to life.

illustration of Waiting in general is an empty space between our lives, it became natural for people to fill in this time by scrolling their phones. In my idea of future, nature will grow through this empty space, plunging its roots deep in digital soil. Like roots does with sidewalk's cement, nature will overcome the inconsistence of technology, the resilience of plants and flowers will eventually grow from pixel.

Profile

Margherita Paoletti is a multimedia artist from Italy. Her work is marked by a strong versatility in shapes, colors and techniques, her artistic practice shift from digital painting to printmaking, from acrylic painting to digital animation. Through art fairs and exhibition worldwide her work is in constant growing both in technique and meaning. Her artist research about symbols, nature and human body, gave her work a subtle and deep statement concerning positivity, female empowerment and civil rights. Her work was selected by The Jealous Curator for The Ladies Room art fair in San Francisco. Also, her illustrations are included in the 2020 Society of Illustrators’ annual. Her first solo show “Il Giardino abitato” (Inhabited garden) in Palazzo Boncompagni and Galleria Cavour in Bologna, was inaugurated in January 2020, with a showcase of site specific artworks.
