Profile

Jay Fernandez born in San Antonio Texas in 1988 I now live and working in Chicago Illinois. I attended Columbus College of Art and Designs first year program in 2007 before transferring to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008. During his time there I was admitted into the advanced painting program and graduated with a BFA in painting and drawing in 2012. My current work is focusing on wall graphics and wallpaper. However, I am open to working in any of the styles or projects displayed on my site. A multimedia artist and designer who creates works in textile design as well as illustration. I use the skills I learned in painting and drawing as well as photography, sculpture and fashion design to cross over and mix with each other to create new and dynamic works. I explore Japanese art and their construction and brings those elements into contemporary imagery.
