Josée Bisaillon was born in 1982 in Québec, Canada. As a little girl, she loved to draw cats and houses. She also cut out every piece of paper she could get her hands on. After studies in computer graphics, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in graphic design in 2005. This is where she fell in love with illustration. Since then, she has illustrated more than 20 picture books and has done numerous editorial illustrations for magazines and newspapers. Her work has received recognition from Applied Arts, American Illustration and the Society of Illustrators NY, to name just a few. She was also shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Awards in 2008 and 2010, in Canada. Josée lives in a nice little house in the suburbs of Montreal with her husband and their three charming children. She still loves drawing cats and cutting out everything made of paper she can find.
