Lisa is a Southern California-based illustrator who’s been making art professionally for two decades. In her career, she's created graphic novels, book illustrations, storyboard and character designs for animation, and key art for film and television. Selected clients include Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Audible, Capstone Press, Image Comics, Graphic Classics, National Geographic, Disney, Nickelodeon, MTV Animation, PBS Kids, and Target. She also co-creates and illustrates the independent sci-fi/fantasy comic, HEX11, which earned a nomination for the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity in Comics. In her style, Lisa looks for beauty in the grotesque and magic in the mundane. Born in New Haven, raised in Chicago, and educated in New York City, Lisa now lives and works in Los Angeles, California. She loves satire, cult movies, Victoriana, classic alt radio, and cherry-flavored fizzy water.
