Mike has been a freelance illustrator for about 25 years since graduating with distinction from San Francisco's Academy of Art College (now University). His artistic wheelhouse is editorial, storytelling images with a humorous twist and a keen focus on caricature. Over the years, Mike has amassed a client list that includes Entertainment Weekly, Vanity Fair, The Progressive, Major League Baseball, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Scholastic, AT&T, Boys' Life, TV Guide, and McGraw-Hill. His work has won recognition from American Illustration, 3x3 International Illustration, and the Society of Illustrators, Los Angeles. Mike resides in Sacramento, California with his wife Shirley, a graphic designer and fine artist, and their temperamental cat Mocha.
