The maps of Skiathos, Santorini and Mykynos are featured as a series of interactive maps on the newspapers’ website in which the viewer can click on each landmark to find out more about each location.

This illustration is the first in a series of showcasing cities and their sporting venues, with an accompanying illustrated map. Issue 16 features various important sporting landmarks of Paris and the surrounding area.

Profile

I’m Laura Barnard, an illustrator living in Peterborough in the UK. I specialise in maps, cityscapes, buildings, hand-drawn typography, infographics and data visualisation. I’ve been a freelance illustrator for a decade, having previously worked in the world of graphic design, project management and print production. Illustration clients over the years have included The British Council, RIBA Journal, Populous, Persil, HP, Beam Global, Sainsbury’s, BMW, Chipotle, Monotype, Ernst & Young and the NHS.
