The Arts at the Old Fire Station in Oxford, UK commissioned Kati to create two large window vinyl illustrations to go on their building in a prominent place in Oxford. The illustrations were to reflect the vibrant and fun glimps of the wide range of artistic activities and community support that is available to a diverse audience inside the building that houses two charities.

Profile

Kati is a UK-based illustrator and designer, whose thoughtful and playful imagery is distinctive for its limited colours, elegant lines and handmade textures that she creates for each of her projects. Kati often gets inspiration from history and the aesthetics of folk art, which she then turns into contemporary designs with incorporated hand-lettering. She has worked on many branding projects and her work has featured in the flow calendar. Her imagery is perfect for advertising agencies, design firms, trade magazines, consumer magazines and book publishing. Her illustrations seem to step out of a dreamlike fantasy world and take us by the hand back into their imaginary place. She carefully chooses her palette and linework to establish an emotional connection with the viewer.
