18" by 24" ink and colored pencil poster. The title is based on the lyrics, "You can be the captain and I will draw the chart! Sailing into destiny, closer to the heart." from the song Closer to the Heart by the band Rush. This picture was inspired by a very vivid dream I had. The various colors, paneling and windows on the ships are supposed to look like the jewel-encrusted bellies of dragons that have been laying upon mounds of treasure of hundreds of years.
