Singapore Distillery

Gin Labels

Next Image Title

Artist Name

The Singapore Distillery was born in 2017 by friends who had the dream of creating flavors that are authentically South East Asia’s favorite ingredients. It was a privilege to create their labels for their first few productions of gins. To embrace their focus on premium handpicked ingredients, each label illustration is inspired by the botanicals and fauna used. They are available in local online stores and supermarkets in Singapore.

Profile

Chi is short for Harumaruchi. Born in Japan and raised in Singapore, where she honed her multi-media artistic practice. Returning to live in Japan in 2019 opened a new dimension to her work, where behind the closed faces and rigid norms she creates a world of open-hearted vulnerabilities. Populated with mystical creatures, she explores the very human issues of acceptance, dysmorphia, hope, life - and death. These difficult themes are carried through her signature colourful style. While it could initially seem antagonistic, it is merely the mirror of her identity battles between two countries, two cultures, and two worlds. Japan and Singapore.
