PAINT THIS BOX!

Previous Image Title

Peter O. Zierlein

During the pandemic I submitted this design to paint on an electric utility box in Amherst, Massachusetts. This is one of several electric utility boxes I painted in Boston and towns in Western Massachusetts. I am a big supporter of the idea to paint drab industrial hardware in order to beautify the city and town landscape and initiated PAINT THIS BOX!, an effort to get electric utility boxes painted by artists in Northampton MA, my hometown.

Coors Light Train

Previous Image Title

Utöka

When Coors came out with its TV Spot “Coors Light Train” it was a big hit. Because of this, they wanted to create an accompanying Point of Sale and POP experience. We had to remodel the train from TV footage to make a higher res version. After making the iconic images for the print campaign, we created a concept involving a life-size train made from a flatbed truck that traveled around the US hosting experimental events inside it.

Beer Island

Previous Image Title

Electric Images

We love creating realistic images that can’t be created using photography, using 3D imagery to create something which doesn’t exist..but you wish it did! For the Beer Island image, we wanted to create a fantasy scene which was fun, believable and nice to look at. We thought a beer bottle shaped island would be a great image, with the Heineken label making a perfect swimming pool. All elements, including the sea, boats, palm trees and people are created using 3D and rendered realistically.

The Long Tall Texans Rock Band

CD Cover - "Headless"

Previous Image Title

Geo Parkin

I’ve been producing record covers and t-shirt designs for Brighton rockabilly band the Long Tall Texans since the mid-1980s and they’ve always been a real joy to work on. This mini-album was their most recent release and the brief for the cover, as ever, consisted of little more than the title. The rest was left up to me. I’m pretty familiar with the group and the type of imagery appreciated by their fanbase by now but even so, that’s a very open spec compared to most illustration jobs.

Nathan was commissioned to design the cover for the new self titled debut EP  by the British Alt/Rock band 'Sleepy Beaucat' The 4 track EP was produced by legendary producer/engineer Tony Platt best known for his work with AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Bob Marley amongst many others. The image is based on a real media acrylic on canvas painting painted by Nathan in 2006. The band liked the image so much that they asked Nathan to recreate it digitally keeping as much to the original as possible.
